A community of hope for those who need a home
Emergency shelter and permanent supportive housing for single adults in South Minneapolis.

Two ways home

A safe place to sleep tonight
The Our Saviour's Housing Emergency Shelter serves homeless adults (age 18+) who are in immediate need of a safe place to sleep at night. We provide a bed, three meals a day, and supportive resources to 38 people every night of the year. The shelter is currently open to guests 24/7.
For many, shelter is the first step in moving from homelessness to home.

Home, for as long as it's needed
Our Permanent Supportive Housing Program serves long-term homeless adults of all genders who live with a mental illness, physical disability, and/or substance use disorder. For as long as needed, we support more than 100 residents in affordable rental housing, on site and scattered around Hennepin County.
After years (even decades) of homelessness, residents have truly found their way home. With ongoing support, they also work to improve their overall health and wellness.

Each year, more than 200 adults experiencing homelessness come through our doors.
Shelter. Community. Hope.
We provide dignified shelter, housing, and supportive resources. But what happens here is about more than just shelter.
We provide a space for every guest and resident to feel welcomed, safe, and encouraged. We address the needs of the whole person, because each piece of a person's life influences the others. In this atmosphere, people thrive. They find community and a chance to contribute.

Every path is different. One thread is common.
Spend any amount of time at a shelter, and the first thing you'll learn is that each person's story is unique. The paths in and out of homelessness are diverse. Many will surprise you. But a lack of affordable housing and support during difficult times is one common thread. We've all needed a helping hand before, but not everyone has one.
That's why Our Saviour's Housing exists. Because we believe that no one should have to navigate crisis alone. And the consequence of one mistake or uncontrollable circumstances should not be losing your home.
